Real Santa Clara

(Royal Santa Clara)

Real Santa Clara was formed in 1984 as a competitive team for men over 35 years of age, in Silicon Valley California.

Since the founding of the team, it has been sponsored by Ca Custom of Santa Clara. Two other sponsors have joined the team – Aaron’s Body Shop in Hayward and Habana Cuba Restaurant in San Jose. From 1984 to 2006 Real Santa Clara played in the South Bay Adult Soccer League (SBASL) Over 35 Division, winning the league championship on numerous occasions.

In 2007 Real Santa Clara moved the Over 35 team to the California International Soccer League (CISL) Over 35 B Division. Two years later, we were promoted to the A Division. Since then we have won the A Division many times.

When we moved to CISL, we also formed a ‘B” team to continue to play in SBASL which later became the “Beyond The Game” League (BTG). Since those days, we have formed an Over 45 team, an Open team (for younger players), plus an Over 50 and Over 60 teams.
